I have always love the punk rock street chic look! And who can do a better job to achieve this look in a high fashion way? Balmain’s Christophe Decarnin of course! In this week’s Paris fashion week, it is full of colorful & cheerful collection, then it all went “Au Revoir” on the 2nd day fashion week schedule when Balmain started his fabulous show.
There are so many beautiful the “Rocker Chicks” outfits, that even tho it’s shown in the ready to wear collection, but the workmanships of adding those studs, safety pins , rhinestones & all the embellishments on leather jackets, pants, bleached jeans, T-shirts with shredded cut-out details, to me it is “Couture”! because someone has to be cutting or adding those safety pins & studs one by one by hands right? It is just so fabulous!
Some editors was saying “Who will pay money for these expensive DIY looking outfits, you can just do it yourself!”…. well I would totally buy it! I love Balmain’s young, edgy & the punk rock chic look! And it’s worth every penny of it!
