We've all loved Prada's clean, minimal, muted color palette designs ... but this season, ready for a totally different look! This season's theme was "Minimal Baroque". Combining the shape & cuts of the hospital scrubs to 17th century baroque paintings & sculptures (gold swirly motifs plus cherubs the whole nine yard... ) and if you think that's "Busy enough"? they've also added in a splash of the exotic tropical feel Carmen Miranda & Josephine Baker by those chunky embroideries of dancing monkies, bananas in a cartoonish / abstract kinda way.
I just love how all the super bright color blocking mix and match with all the embroideries and the ruffle-hammed details. Of course I love those super fabulous bright color fur wraps that goes with many of the outfits on the runway! All I can say is that only Miuccia Prada can put it all together like this and still calls it "Minimal Baroque" ! It was just simply fabulous!
Until next time, be well and look fabulous!!
